Working closely with homeowners and local contractors, we generate designs that are environmentally sensitive, architecturally appropriate, and respectful of the owner’s budget.
Stone Boat owner, Max Alan Arnold not only has a strong art and design background but has years of experience in the building trades which translates into an understanding of the construction process allowing him to create a builder friendly set of drawings.
The homeowner’s chosen builder will be part of the team through out the design process allowing Stone Boat Design to tailor the construction drawing to that particular builders methods. If the owner does not have a builder in mind we can recommend one of the many contractors with which Stone Boat has a successful history.
Stone Boat will analyze the homeowner’s needs and help eliminate wasted space thus saving time and money.

It is very important to Stone Boat Design to be environmentally sensitive in both the construction phase as well as operating costs and impact for the future. Max Arnold has been involved in the sustainable and environmental movement since the seventies and has been designing and building green his entire career.
